Apps are a way for students to be creative problem solvers in a digital world. App making is easier and more achievable in the classroom
than you probably realise. I'll share some examples of apps made by students and take you through the process of prototyping an app and
then making an app that can go live. This is a really empowering process for students and can

How to help your students create a published picture book

Tuesday, September 21st
9am-3pm
I helped some classes of NE-Y2 children at a school I work at to make a picture book for their
study of minibeasts. I took the book and turned it into a published book for the school library (inexpensively).
The expression on the kids' faces
when they saw their work brought to life in a real-life outcome was enough to make me want to
share the skillset with others.
Learn how to turn this into a rich, meaningful classroom project with team roles. Older kids can navigate the whole process. Find out the
best methods to get the book designed and published. Leave at the end of the day with your
own book started and access to an online course I have made for support.
This will integrate into any topic so get your Term 4 planning done!

lunch

How to help your students to run their own business

done and the kids are so engaged because they're earning real money. This is a useful idea to
run in the lead-up to Christmas as an end-of-year project.
I will share some of the experiences I have had with students and set you up with the resources to run your own business.

lunch
